LITR 5733: Seminar in American Culture (summer 1999)

(Prototype for Immigrant Literature Course)

Listed below are links to some essays and journals submitted to LITR 5733. These submissions may serve as models for students who are planning essays or journals for LITR 4333. However, some of the requirements for the two courses are slightly different; refer to this semester's syllabus to resolve discrepancies.

These submissions were scanned from paper copies by Agatha Whitney, suite secretary for Bayou 2529, whom we thank. Scanning often introduces small errors, however. The instructor has cleaned these files of errors as far as possible in one review, but some may remain. Also be aware that these submissions appear as they were submitted. The students may have made editing or formatting errors that have not been corrected. In any case, the main purpose in providing these copies is for students to see the range of possibilities in subject matter.
