Satyr

Oxford English Dictionary 1.a. Mythol. One of a class of woodland gods or demons, in form partly human and partly bestial, supposed to be the companions of Bacchus.

A satyr was one of a troop of male companions to the Greek gods Pan and Dionysus.

Satyrs, who lived in forests and mountains, often appear as hairy, sexually excited men of nature with animal features such as horses' tails or, in later times, horns or legs of goats.
