the author, writing objectively or subjectively, attempting a moral stance? Class discussion questions are: 1. What is the reason he chose to die? 2. Is the question in stanza 1, to the reader, or is it rhetorical for the character? 3. What about the ‘future’ imagery? 4. Why should WE, as readers, mourn? 5. Who might the author be referring to? 6.
