I am Purple

I am purple
My hair is green
And I’ve learned
The world hates me…

I give clothes
To those in need,
To the hungry
I am never mean.

I help clean streets,
Adopt stray cats,
But heading home
I am attacked.

They call me names,
And take my purse,
They laugh at me
And point and curse.

I want a friend,
And would play sweet,
But everyone
Thinks I’m a geek.

Being caring
Must be uncool
For populars
Are all so cruel.

So, I’m purple
And my hair is green
It’s just what I look like-
Not a reason to hate me.

Normals

There are normals,
ways you are expected to behave.
“Walk, don’t skip,” they say…

And I live amongst the people who obey.

But if normal is to do only what I’m told
then normal’'s not for me.

i will run down the sidewalk
just to sit on the curb
i will chew my ice and eat with my hands
i will drink with a spoon
sing when i want to and skip where i  please

And others will think that I am strange.

But if these things don’t seem normal
then normal’'s not for me.

My Luxury

I don’t have to drive
A new Lexus every year
For my love to thrive,
Or my heart to hold you dear.

I may never have a mansion
Filled with decadent things.
That will clutter up my vision
And block the gift life brings.

I need no diamond ring
For your love to show.
Of my heart you’re king;
For ever you’re my beau.

Things cannot impress me;
My love is above cost.
There’s one thing I do need,
And all else is effort lost.

You are my luxury.
