Research Post Proposal

I am selecting the research posts option.  I recently read Jane Eyre for another class, so when The Wide Sargasso Sea was mentioned in our class discussion, I was immediately interested in finding analysis over the colonial/postcolonial relationship of the novels. I am curious to research such closely related texts. 

My research plan is to gather basic information about the novel and what qualifies it as a postcolonial text. Part of my research goal is to see if I can find varying critiques of the novel. From my preliminary research, the novel appears to have had positive reception, so I’d like to find a range of critiques to have a well-rounded report.
