For 2012 a new presentation assignment with two options.

Option 1: Entire class reads research text provided by instructor, either online or by handout.

Research Discussion Leader . . .

• highlights or leads class to 2-3 passages in text

• reads parts aloud

• applies to day's readings

• asks questions or invites comments (these can happen at any point)

• leads discussion.

Option 2: Research discussion leader only reads research text provided by instructor.

Research Discussion Leader . . .

• provides copies of 2-3 passages from text to class (photocopies? or web post or however it works for you with projector)

  • Instructor can help with photocopies.

  • Presenter may type out passages or photocopy pages from critical text.

• provides context and documentation

• applies to day's readings

• asks questions or invites comments (these can happen at any point)

•  leads discussion. (How much discussion is questionable, but instructor will help.)
