Presentation Notes:

Question 1 When talking about time travel we often talk in terms of the advantages of traveling through time. One of the cons of time travel would be if you traveled to the future and changed something. That would mean you had changed what was going to happen whether it was for the better or the worse. What would be some of the disadvantages of time travel?

Dr. White One pro of traveling to the future would be that you would already know what the stock market had done in the past. Some people may use it for exploitation.

Laura Only one person would go on a time travel. We would have to trust that person not to tamper with the past or future.

Val In "House of Bones", he was compatible with the people he met, but what if you traveled to the past or future and wasn't compatible with the people you meet? Could you change them?

Question 2

Sonja If you traveled to the past you would know what to expect. You would be able to change the future just like you could change the past.

Dr. White This is similar to alternative future.

If the future hasn't happened, how do you travel to it?

Glenn You are assuming that time is only linear.

Laura If you travel into the future, is that really you in the future?

Jay There are a couple of ways to go into the future. One way is to go the speed of light and back. Everyone would age, but you. Similar to "Back to the Future", only 2 minutes pass to the travelers. In present time, they have been gone for much longer.

It's like parallel time or time bands like in the soap opera "Dark Shadows"

Dr. White If you are able to go into the future, has it already been written?
