Research Proposal

For my first research post, I would like to explore the world of Elizabeth Ashbridge, who lived from 1713-1755. I know absolutely nothing about her, but when I asked my friend Vicky about what I should research, Elizabeth’s name popped up. She gave me an article called, Some Account of the Fore Part of the Life of Elizabeth Ashbridge that instantly hooked me! I read the first paragraph of her life and wanted to know more about her! The only little bit of information I know about her is that she was homeschooled and became a Quaker. That’s it!

      I am hoping that through this research post, I will know more about who she was, what she did, what her religion stand was, and how she became a Quaker. Reading the first paragraph of her biography, seriously made me wonder if she was possessed or if she murdered someone! When I read something along the lines of ‘my sins are many’ and ‘ I have been afflicted’, it makes me wonder what on Earth this person did that would be so great. I also know she is very religious, but I don’t know exactly how religious she is. This is another thing I would like to know more about, as well as how her life was as a Quaker.
