Double Shadow
That life was mine I wish always to be I cannot leave the place at home that won’t remember me.
Streetlight radiates a corner A house reflects each minute as before. The door awaits my hand, swings; latch clicks out the evening.
Down another hallway breathes the emptiness of sleep Bless you, little one, waking to see your family’s sound and color, the noise of faith and friends.
Or did I dream it different then? Instead of me, who might have been? Reach out and catch me when I turn, please hold me close to all that once was mine

Double Shadow
That life was mine I wish always to be I cannot leave this place called home that won’t remember me.
Streetlight radiates a corner A house absorbs the times before. The door awaits my hand, swings shut the silhouette.
Down another hallway breathes the emptiness of sleep Bless you, little one, waking to your family’s sound and color, the noise of faith and friends.
Or did I dream it differently? Who might have been, Instead of me? Catch me, catch me when I turn please hold me close to all that once was mine
